Park Rules
- Casselton’s parks close at 11 PM each evening.
- All motorized vehicles, including motorcycles, scooters and ATVs are prohibited on park property.
- Bonfires and glass containers are not allowed.
The park district offers a $250 reward for the report and subsequent conviction of vandalism.
Picnic Shelter Reservations
Reservations for the picnic shelters at Casselton’s parks may be made by calling 347-5386 or stopping by the park district office at the Cottonwood Golf Course Clubhouse (302 6th Avenue South).
Reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance of your event. Please call to check rates and availability.
Our Parks
Willow Bend Park
The parks district’s newest recreational area, Willow Bend Park, features a large playground area and walking tails on the east side of Casselton’s Willow Bend subdivision.
Swimming Pool Park
The park surrounding Casselton’s municipal swimming pool features a sand volleyball court, two picnic shelters and playground equipment. It is located in the 400 block between 1st and 2nd Street South.
Governors Park
Governors Park honors the five North Dakota governors who called Casselton home: Andrew Burke, William Langer, William Guy, George Sinner and Jack Dalrymlple. Located along Front Street, Governors Park features monuments to the five governors and a picnic shelter.
Tinta Tawa Park
Tinta Tawa, the community’s largest park, is located off Cass County Highway 10 on the northwest edge of Casselton. The park holds three baseball/softball diamonds, three picnic shelters, a gazebo and a sledding hill/scenic overlook. The park also has three separate playground areas and two fishing docks with access to the park’s stocked reservoir. Two restrooms are available for public use and the park also contains nearly two miles of paved recreation trails, suitable for walking or biking.
