T-Ball
T-Ball introduces the fundamentals of baseball and softball to our 5 and 6-year-old boys and girls.
Practices coordinated by parent volunteers and a group of youth coaches focus on basic skills, including catching, throwing, batting and base running.
Players who turn 7 prior to May 1, 2024, are not eligible for T-Ball.
Please note that T-Ball practices cancelled due to poor weather conditions will not be rescheduled.
Girls’ Practice Dates: Mondays & Wednesdays, June 3 to July 10
Time: 10 AM to 11 AM
Location: Kost Field – HS turf
Boys Practice Dates: Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4 to July 11
Time: 10 AM to 11 AM
Location: Tinta Tawa Park Diamond II (Res 2)
Equipment Needed: Players need to bring a glove and wear athletic shoes. Balls, bats, helmets and hitting tees will be provided.
Fee: $50 (Includes T-shirt)
Squirts Baseball
Our 7 and 8-year-old boys will work with a team of youth coaches to focus on the fundamentals of the game and work to develop and improve individual skills. The Squirts will play inter-squad games on Wednesday evenings beginning on June 7.
Players cannot turn 9 prior to May 1, 2024, and still play at the Squirts level.

Session Times: 11 AM to Noon
Game Dates: Wednesday evenings
Location: Tinta Tawa Park Diamonds II & III (Res 2 & 3)
Equipment: Players need their gloves and athletic or rubber-spiked baseball shoes. All other practice and game equipment will be provided.
Fee: $60 (Includes T-shirt)
Squirts Softball

Pee Wee Baseball
Pee Wee baseball is for players 9 and 10 years of age. Casselton typically fields three or four teams in the Mid-Cass Pee Wee League, which includes teams from Kindred, Harwood, Lisbon and Northern Cass.
League games are played on Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:45 PM start time) beginning in late May and continuing through the league tournament, which is scheduled for July.
Players who turn 9 prior to July 31, 2024, and are moving on to 4th grade are eligible to participate in Pee Wee baseball. Players cannot turn 11 before May 1, 2024, and still be eligible for Pee Wee baseball.
Game and Practice Location: Tinta Tawa Park Diamonds I, II and III.
Game Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays (5:45 PM start times).
Practice Days: Monday and Wednesday.
Equipment: Gloves, athletic shoes or rubber-spiked baseball shoes. Uniform jerseys will be provided; gray pants can be purchased at local outlets.
Fee: $100 (Includes team hat).
Rookie Baseball
Rookie baseball is for players 11 and 12 years old. Depending on registration numbers, Casselton typically fields three or four Rookie teams in the Mid-Cass Baseball League.
Players who turn 11 prior to July 31, 2024, are eligible to play Rookie baseball. Players cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2024, and still be eligible for Rookie baseball.
The Rookie League tournament is scheduled for July.
Game and Practice Location: Tinta Tawa Park Diamonds I, II and II.
Game Days: Tuesday and Thursday evenings (7 PM start times).
Practice Days: Monday and Wednesday.
Equipment: Gloves, athletic shoes or rubber-spiked baseball shoes are required. Uniform jerseys and belts will be provided; gray belted pants can be purchased at local outlets.
Fee: $100 (Includes team hat).
