Wellness Center Q&A

What will the hours be for the Wellness Center? The Wellness Center will be open from 4:30 AM – Midnight Monday through Sunday.

What are the fees for the Wellness Center? The fees are as follows:

Adult (18+)                        $20/Month    $200/Year**
Dual (1 household)           $30/Month    $300/Year**
Family (1 household)        $35/Month    $350/Year**
Senior (60+)                      $10/Month    $100/Year**
Student (Grades 9-12)      $20/Year       Please note student memberships are only for 9th-12th grade students with students being eligible when their 9th grade school year begins in August.

Will there be access to locker rooms? Locker rooms will be available Monday – Friday from 4:30 AM – 7 AM, and 5 PM – Midnight. Saturday and Sundays, they will be available 4:30 AM – Midnight. If there is a school function going on during any of these times (volleyball, basketball, wrestling, tournament, etc.) there will be NO access to locker rooms.

Will I have access to the Wellness Center if there is a school weights class or a before/after-school team lift going on?  Yes, a member can use the Wellness Center at any time between 4:30 AM – Midnight. We will work with the school to keep members updated of times that classes or team lifts, so members are aware of these.

If my 9th – 12th grade student is part of summer weights, a weights class during the school year, or part of a sports team that will be using the Wellness Center, do I need to purchase a membership for them? No membership will be needed if your student will be participating in a school class, team lift or summer weights. A student membership will only be needed if your student would like to access the Wellness Center outside of the above listed activities.

What will be the hours for the student access to the Wellness Center?  Hours for students grade 9-12 will be from 4:30 AM to 10 PM Monday through Sunday. Students grade 9-12 will not be allowed to work out by themselves. They will need to be with another member to access the Wellness Center (Parent, guardian or another student grade 9-12).

Are there any insurance/healthcare discounts that can be used for memberships? No, the Wellness Center is not part of any insurance/healthcare discount programs.

How may FOBs do I get with my membership? You will get one FOB per membership. If you want an additional FOB, it will be a one-time $20 fee. For example, if you have a dual-membership and 1 student memberships, you will get one FOB for the dual membership, and 1 FOB for your student. If you have multiple students, each student will get her or his own FOBs. FOBs will not be distributed to anyone in grades 8th or younger.

What if I lose my FOB? Please notify the arks office right away so your lost FOB can be deactivated. You will be asked to purchase an additional FOB for $10.

Where do I pick-up my FOB once I have signed-up online? You can pick-up your FOB at the parks office.

Is there an orientation process so I can learn how to use all the equipment? An orientation can be scheduled. Please contact the parks office to arrange this.

Does my Wellness Center membership include access to any gym space? No, your Wellness Center membership only allows you access to the Wellness Center.

Wellness Center Rules:  Participant will follow all rules set forth regarding the use of the Wellness Center:

  • Clean gym shoes are required.
  • Only WATER in bottles that can be capped are allowed in the Wellness Center.
  • Please clean the machines after each use.
  • During periods of high traffic volume, time on the machines will be limited to 15-20 minutes.
  • Wear clean, suitable, presentable clothing.
  • Children/students in grades 8th and below are not allowed in the Wellness Center without a parent/guardian.
  • Students in grade 9th-12th must have a workout buddy with them.  This person must be a member of the Wellness Center.  If your student is a part of a weight class, in-season team lift or summer weights, they do not need to be members of the Wellness Center for these programs. It is only needed if they would like access to the Wellness Center outside of these programs.
  • Foul language and music with foul and/or inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
  • The participant will use the FOB issued to him/her solely for the purpose of physical exercise in the wellness center and the participant will not allow anyone other than paid wellness center members listed on membership into the Wellness center. Misuse of the FOB, the wellness center, or any school property will result in the revocation of the participant’s wellness center membership and door FOB.
  • Violation of any of these rules will result in the revocation of the participant’s wellness center membership and door FOB.
  • No photos or videos can be taken in the locker room.
  • Any other rules implemented by the Wellness Center.

Please store FOB in a safe place.  They are very sensitive to extreme temperatures, hot or cold (like being left outside in the car during winter or on a hot summer day) and to water (Example: running it through the clothes washer).

Failure to follow these rules will result in the revocation of the participant’s wellness center membership and door FOB.
