13-Year-Old Babe Ruth Baseball (Titans)

The Casselton Titans will compete with other 13-year-old teams in the Fargo-Moorhead Babe Ruth League.

The developmental league begins in mid-May, weather permitting, and runs through the end of July.

Our younger Babe Ruth players have the opportunity to compete against others their own age while they adjust to to the larger regulation-sized diamond.

Games are played in Casselton and a variety of locations in the F-M area on Monday and Wednesday evenings (5:45 PM and 8 PM start times).  Practices are typcally held on Tuesday and Thursday mornings.

League and game cancellation information will be available at the F-M league website (fargobaberuth.hardballsystems.com) as well as on the parks and rec website, casseltonparks.com.

Eligibility: Players cannot turn 14 prior to May 1, 2013 (All players must provide a copy of their birth certificate to verify age).

Head Coach: Nick Voss

Location: Central Cass High School Baseball Field.

Game Days: Mondays and Wednesdays (5:45 PM & 8 PM start times).

Fee: $75 ($15 for a team hat).

Equipment: Jerseys will be provided for games.  Players need to purchase their own pair of gray belted pants.  Babe Ruth players can wear metal spikes for games and practices.

Black Stockings (14-15) Babe Ruth Baseball

The Black Stockings compete in the Mid-Cass Babe Ruth League with teams from Kindred, Northern Cass and Enderlin.

Pre-season tryouts will be scheduled in early or mid-May.  Babe Ruth regulations limit our team roster size to 15 players.

Regular-season play begins in late May or early June and the league tournament is set for July 12-14 in Casselton.  The District VII Babe Ruth tournament will be played in Casselton the weekend of July 19-21.

Eligibility: Players cannot turn 16 prior to May 1, 2013 (All players must provide a copy of their birth certificate to verify age).

American Legion Baseball

Casselton's Post 15 squad, state qualifiers for five consecutive years, are looking forward to another competitive season of Section 3 play with teams from Larimore, Hope-Finley, Thompson, Hatton, Hillsboro-Central Valley and Gardner.

The Legion season begins in early June and could continue through regional tournament play in mid-August.

The Section 3 Legion tournament is set for July 23-27 in Casselton.  The 2013 State Class B American Legion Tournament is scheduled for July 31 through August 5 in Beulah. 

Eligibility: Players cannot turn 19 prior to January 1, 2013 (Players must provide a copy of their birth certificate to verify age).
