Dance/Creative Movement |

Participate in this one-week workshop and experience the joy of modern dance and creative movement. Creative movement classes focus on exploring movement and developing creative and expressive opportunities. Modern dance allows students in grades 4 - 8 those opportunities and more emphasis on technique. Workshops for three different age groups will be held the week of June 15-19. Our instructor is Barb Wieland. Program Dates: Monday through Friday, June 15 through June 19 Session Times: Pre K Creative Movement - 1 PM to 1:45 PM Creative Movement (Grades 1-3) - 2 PM to 3 PM Modern Dance (Grades 4-8) - 3:15 PM to 4:30 PM Fee: $25 Location: Casselton City Hall Auditorium Instructor: Barb Wieland |

Penny & Pals 2010 |

Penny Andrist of Kids Kollectibles Music in Fargo will bring her nationally-recognized music education program back to Casselton for the seventh time in 2010. Class rehearsals and instruction will be held at the Central Cass School the week of July 19-23. Our local students will star in an outdoor production in Governors' Park prior to the Summerfest parade on Saturday morning, July 24. Penny & Pals registration is limited to one session open to the first 30 students ages 6-10. The fee for the week-long workshop is $50 and includes a Penny & Pals T-shirt. Program Dates: Monday through Friday, July 19-23. Time: 9 AM to Noon Location: Central Cass School and Governors' Park Fee: $50 |

Small Notes Music Camp |

Instructor Vicki Milbrandt will be back in Casselton with her youth music skills camp in June. Milbrandt's classes, which will be held from June 8 through June 12 in the Central Cass music room, involve age-appropriate music and movement, as well as learning and listening activities and games. The Small Notes students will also participate in the annual Summerfest parade. Program Dates: Monday through Friday, June 8-12 Preschool Session (Children ages 3-5): 9 AM to 10 AM Primary Session (Children ages 6-9): 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM Fees: Preschool - $30 Primary - $40 Registration Information: Please send your child's information and fee to: Vicki Milbrandt, 300 Walnut St., Kindred, ND, 58051. Middle school and high school boys and girls are invited to join these creatively-motivated classes to explore the visual arts, including the fundamentals of design, art elements and more advanced techniques of drawing, painting, sculpture and printmaking. Boys and girls 13 years of age and older are invited to participate in this creatively-motivated class that will explore many different areas of the visual arts. Murals, mosaics, collages, pottery, mobiles, tye-dye and more in two-hour afternoon sessions over nine days. Bring a friend and join the fun!
